WOVEN SPACE
2020
The woven series are a product of an ongoing research on transparencies. The loom was home built to assure the technical features that structures like this demand.
To endure a technique that is almost “anti-fabric” as it is loose and fragile, is a big challenge. Although it is a great commitment on understanding how these bodies might play with perception, color research and might comprise endless possibilities for space applications.
A group of weavings that explore layering, rendering and virtual senses, rather than static images on the frame of a wall.
Together with the investigation and reflection upon how fabric is more about experience and less of an object of possession. It comprises a life of its own which mutates according to light, placement and position of the viewer. The virtual versus the static. A network set on the complex field of emotions draws a more thorough investigation on how, what is in fact surrounding the human body — Space — is extremely non-objective.
